Terms of Use for the VanSite Points System

1. General

The VanSite Points System is a voluntary bonus programme run by VanSite UG (haftungsbeschrankt). It rewards active users for certain activities on the platform with points that can be redeemed for vouchers or other rewards. Participation requires acceptance of these Terms of Use.

2. Eligibility

All registered users with an active VanSite account are eligible to participate. Participation is free and happens automatically when using the relevant features.

3. Earning points

Points are awarded for certain activities, including:

  • Recruiting a host: 1,500 points (can be earned multiple times)

  • Recommending the AnnualPass: 200 points (can be earned multiple times)

  • Recommending VanSite to friends: 150 points (can be earned multiple times)

  • Completing your profile fully: 100 points (one time only)

  • Leaving a review (trip or guest): 50 points (can be earned multiple times)

  • Birthday bonus: 50 points (one time only)

  • Additional promotions (e.g. social follows) may earn points temporarily

The exact number and type of points awarded may change and is displayed transparently in the user profile and on the website.

4. Expiry of points

Points expire 24 months after they are credited, if they have not been redeemed. Cash payment of points is excluded.

5. Redeeming points

  • Points can be redeemed once a minimum balance of 500 points has been reached.

  • Redemption is only possible through the VanSite user account.

  • Available rewards and vouchers, along with their conditions, are shown in the redemption area.

6. Misuse & exclusion

VanSite reserves the right to cancel points retroactively or exclude users from the points system if misuse is suspected (e.g. multiple registrations, fake referrals, or similar).

7. Changes or termination of the programme

VanSite reserves the right to change, pause, or discontinue the points system at any time. Changes will be communicated with reasonable notice via the platform or by email. Points already collected remain redeemable for at least 3 months after notification.

8. Liability

VanSite accepts no liability for technical faults that result in incorrect point allocation. Claims for damages are excluded unless gross negligence or intent is involved.

9. Data protection

Data collected as part of the points system is subject to our privacy policy and is used solely to operate the programme.

10. Jurisdiction and applicable law

German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is, to the extent permitted by law, the registered office of VanSite UG (haftungsbeschrankt).
