Yes, you may offer up to three pitches on your property in accordance with the camping and weekend site regulations (CWVO) applicable to you.

Schleswig-Holstein is excluded. Your area must also not lie within a protected area.

If in doubt, check with your local authority.

A free outdoor space with a view of nature and room for one to three vehicles or tents.

Since many of our travellers are self-sufficient, facilities such as electricity, water or sanitary facilities are not required to become a host. The closer to nature, the fewer facilities needed.

If you do want to offer something, campers will of course appreciate it.

Hosts can pitches on VanSite list for free. There are also no costs for registration or support from our service team. For nightly prices above €15 a service fee of 7% per booking.

Yes, that's possible. Many hosts already offer things alongside their pitch, such as home-grown fruit and vegetables or a tour of the property.

  1. Guests send you a booking request for a defined period. The request authorises the transfer of the booking amount.

  2. You can accept or decline this request.

  3. If you accept the booking request, the agreed price is automatically transferred to you. If you decline the request or leave it unanswered for 72 hours, the request along with the authorisation expires automatically.

  4. When a booking is accepted, your contact details are automatically forwarded to your guest.

Yes, guests only send a booking request first. You can of course decline it. If you neither accept nor decline a request within 72 hours neither accept nor decline it, it will be automatically declined. The main thing is that you feel comfortable with the rental.

No, potential guests only see your pitch listing along with your first name and a general area where your pitch is located.

Only after a booking are contact details exchanged between you and your guest.

Yes, you can set the availability in your listing settings.

During periods when your pitch is not available, the listing stays visible but cannot be booked.
